Real Wedding: Ciara & James

Ciara and James held their rustic bush style wedding in Wilyabrup, Western Australia. Surrounded by family and friends, they had lots of fun! Ciara’s fabulous vintage #cocomelodydress gave the venue the ultimate elegant and romantic touch while those 3 fur babes really made the day so special! Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?

My biggest tip is to not stress the small stuff and to just try and enjoy the day. People will tell you how quickly it’s over and they are not exaggerating! Also make sure you have food to eat while you are getting ready, we had healthy sushi and rice paper roll platters delivered, which ensured we were well fed and in high spirits. With the ceremony and photos you {bride and groom} don’t get to start eating until quite late and the last thing you want is to be hungry at your own wedding!

Q: How did you meet? And where did he propose?

James and I went to a comedy show for our first date, we just really clicked and became a couple soon after. One morning, James took me down to the beach with the dogs to watch the sunrise, unfortunately, he forgot that the sunrises over the land and sets over the ocean in Perth, so that part was pretty uneventful. We were walking along with the dogs and he got down on one knee and popped the question.  True to his form, he gave me a fake ring (the real one was in getting resized), which was absolutely horrendous. Typical James is the joker. I said yes any way, although the ring went into hiding soon after.

Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?

We just wanted our wedding to be fun and laid back. We didn’t want it to be an event that was too stiff and restrictive.  We just wanted to have a big party to celebrate so that was what we did. We had friends and family flying in from all over the world (James is English) so we wanted to introduce them to one of the most beautiful parts of Western Australia. We had our wedding and reception at a beautiful stone winery in the country, it is one of the oldest in the area. It was also very important that our dogs (we have 3) could partake in the day. Even though they were a bit silly at times they really made the day special and gave us some great stories to tell!

Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?

Personally I did not enjoy wedding planning as I already work full time and run a business, so it was hard to find the extra time to dedicate to that. James works away and long hours so was unable to help at all. In the end it was a good day and I was happy with the result.

Q: What was your hubby’s reaction when he first saw you on your big day?

James had a big smile on his face, although I think he smiled a bit more when the dogs walked down the aisle!

Q: What did you love most about your custom #Cocomelody dress?

I loved my wedding dress so much.  I think the best part about it was that it was so reasonably priced but looked like it was worth thousands. It is a huge risk getting your wedding dress made online and everyone told me not to do it, but after reading the reviews and talking to other Cocomeody brides I felt like I was making the right choice.  I honestly couldn’t have been happier with the dress. Because it was custom made, I didn’t even have to fork out any more money for alterations, it fit like a glove. The dress was one thing I just didn’t have to worry about, it arrived months out from the big day, looked even better in real life than the pics and it fit perfectly.

Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?

Cocomelody have impeccable customer service, they responded to all my questions and made sure I got the dress exactly as I wanted it. I was blown away by the quality of the dress and not only the before sales service but the after sales service too. I would highly recommend Cocomelody to any bride, whether you are on a budget or not. The dresses might be cheaper in price but they look like they are worth thousands!
