Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
The best advice I ever received and something that I want to pass on to other brides surprisingly came from my husband. Whenever I get so stressed out with planning, he would always remind me that the most important thing is that we are marrying each other. Things will not always go as planned but it will all work out in the end. He’d always tell me that our wedding day is only the beginning of our journey together as man and wife. So just enjoy your day and don’t worry about the smallest details. People may not even recognize them. Focus on each other and just have a good time.
Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?
We were really good friends. Whenever we needed someone to talk to for advice, we would always text or call each other. Even as friends, we knew each other very well. Until one day we decided to take our friendship to the next level. We’ve always felt like there was a connection between us. In the end, we realized that we were just meant to be. We drove to Minneapolis one weekend in April last year to watch John Mayer live in concert. Before heading to the venue, we stopped by a church. We went in, knelt down, closed our eyes and said a prayer. When I opened my eyes, he was kneeling down beside me and holding a ring. It was such a great feeling getting engaged inside a beautiful church and in front of the altar.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
Since our venue was in a garden, I wanted a summer/romantic vibe for our wedding. The colors I chose for my floral and decor were green, burgundy, blush pink, peach, ivory, and champagne.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
Yes and no. I loved that we were able to DIY all floral arrangements and decorations and that we were able to choose our vendors. The guest list and RSVP were probably the most stressful part of the planning. I had my entourage do the setup and tear down and only had a day-of coordinator so that was pretty stressful as well. But everything turned out great and we all had a good time. Shout out to all of our awesome friends who helped us out! 🙂
Q: What was your hubby’s reaction when he first saw you on your big day?
He was holding back tears. He swore he wasn’t gonna cry but he couldn’t help it. It was too cute! lol.
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?
I loved everything about my dress! It looked classy and romantic, exactly how I envisioned it to be when I ordered it. I had some alterations done since I ordered it way ahead and then I lost weight. People couldn’t believe I bought my wedding dress online. Everyone loved it.
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?
I am so pleased with Cococmelody‘s customer service. They answered all my questions and were very helpful all throughout the process. My order came in on time. I’d definitely recommend it to everyone! 🙂
