Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?

Trust that the people around you, who love you will do their best to make your special day the most wonderful day of your lives. The day is for being pampered, looking like a princess and being treated like a queen by your new husband and family. Enjoy every moment and savor every second of it, it flies by.

Q: Where & How did he propose?

Dave proposed to me in an amazing way. We had just picked up the keys to our brand newly built home that morning and went to see it for the first time since it had been completed. I walked through the front door to a bed of rose petals leading me down the hall into a room. Once in there the carpet was filled with rose petals in a heart shape and he had spelled out the words ‘Marry Me?’ with them. I turned around to find him on one knee. It was magical.

Q: How would you define the message “Dare to Love”?

‘Dare to Love’ to me means being brave enough to put yourself out there, at risk of being hurt and vulnerable. To give your whole heart to one person, absolutely, and trust that they will take care of it. Loving someone is scary, and only those who dare to love can experience how truly extraordinary and exhilarating being in love can be.

Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?

Dave and I always knew we wanted something low key and casual for our wedding because that’s the type of people we are and we wanted to stay true to that. We chose to have our ceremony in the park and our reception in a family members backyard. It was absolutely perfect and the best decision we could have made for ourselves.

Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?

Planning the wedding was most times stressful and sometimes enjoyable for me. Almost every single thing went wrong in the lead up from my photographer, cake maker and celebrant all letting me down only a few weeks out from the day and having to find new ones on short notice, our reception venue going up for sale, my makeup artist letting me know she was no longer doing makeup, the men’s suits all arriving in the wrong colour and sizes etc so it was quite stressful. Everything worked out on the day though.

Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?

My favourite part of the entire day was having our first dance as a married couple. It signified all the formalities were over and we could both just relax and dance the night away. It was a beautiful setting and I loved every minute of it.

Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?

My favourite part of my wedding dress was the gorgeous open back and the beautiful long train. It looked stunning in photographs and was perfect for the 35+ degree C day.

Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?

Cocomelody was so great even before I made a purchase, with answering all my questions no matter how silly they seemed and putting my nerves to rest about purchasing my wedding dress online. Their service was prompt and the production and posting time very accurate. They were very helpful every step of the way!
