Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
Invest money in your photographer. You can cut costs elsewhere, but you get what you pay for when it comes to a photographer.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
Nathan’s grandparents offered us their beautiful backyard for our wedding. We wanted something small and intimate with only our close friends and family, and so we wanted a garden themed wedding.
Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?
Nathan and I met through a dating app, but were students at the same university at the time. It took him three weeks to respond to my message! When we finally did catch up for a coffee the connection was instant. Three weeks later he said “I love you” and within a year we were engaged. Nathan proposed on my 21st birthday, at the beach, while we were in my hometown of Esperance to visit my family. He was so nervous that he forgot to get down on one knee! We surprised everyone with the news that night at my birthday party. We were engaged for two years before getting married, which gave us plenty of time to save money and get settled as a couple. The next step for us is Nathan going into the Australian Army in the next 12 months, and we will be moving to wherever he is stationed once he is out of basic training.
Q: How would you define the message “Dare to Love”?
Falling in love can be scary. Don’t let previous relationships define how to enter a new one. Dare to love whoever you want, no matter what expectations others have as to what love is.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
It was honestly all a blur! That being said, while we were getting photographs taken a group of ducklings came over to us, and the photographer captured that moment on camera. It’s one of my favorite photos!
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress (es)?
The moment I saw my wedding dress I knew it was the one. I had it picked out before we even got engaged, and never once changed my mind.
