Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER! And when you do, find a wedding planner who feels like a friend and not someone you hired. I had such an amazing open line of communication with my planner that it was EASY to make my wedding dreams come true!
What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
Since we had an Indian ceremony and an American (western) reception, we had two themes. Our Indian ceremony had a traditional yet rustic theme. We wanted to accentuate the jewel tones of our wedding colors and the beautiful venue so we opted for deeper florals, a dark red rug, and antique gold accents. As for our reception, the two words for the theme were ‘elegant’ and ‘sexy’. We continued to play off of the jewel tones and used black as our main accent color. It was all about setting the mood… we had hanging glass bulbs with our floral hanging installation and our tables were filled with a variety of candles. The mood was so soft and romantic. Kevin and I love a good party so we decided on an LED dance-floor to really make it a party!
Tell us your love story!
Kevin and I met about 6 years ago through a mutual friend. As soon as we started spending time together, we discovered we had a mutual love for things like craft beer, marvel movies, and all dogs! Over the next 5 years, we grew to learn each others likes and dislikes, learn about our families and culture, all while creating a beautiful life together. It was on our 5 year anniversary that Kevin surprised me with a quick weekend getaway to our favorite city: San Diego. We celebrated our anniversary day with a couple of drinks at a variety of breweries and with a special, champagne filled dinner at a little Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Kevin took me down to the marina and eventually got down on one knee and asked me the most important question of our lives and of course, you can guess what my answer was 🙂
The best/most memorable part of the day?
The most memorable part of our day would definitely have to be our first look. We opted to do our first look before the ceremony at Hotel Figueroa, which is where we celebrated our wedding weekend. We each had first looks with the bridal party and our family and when it was finally time to see each other, we had all of our loved ones there to see us! When we both saw each other, we were overwhelmed with emotion. While Kevin had tears in his eyes to see his bride, I on the other hand, was overfilled with joy and excitement. In that moment, I forgot about all the nerves and wanted nothing more than to be his wife.
Where did you hear/find CocoMelody :
My sister in law tried on potential wedding dresses last year while shopping for her wedding gown.
What did you love most about your CocoMelody dress?
I loved how my dress was sexy, elegant, and unique. Since our ceremony was traditional, I wanted my reception dress to be a party dress. The creative designs covered in white sequins were the perfect combination for my vision.
What do you think about CocoMelody?
I think Cocomelody provides an awesome experience for all brides. There is such a wide variety of gowns which cater to every type of bride. Benjamin, the associate who assisted me and MOH with our dresses, was such a delight to work with. He is the one who brought out my dress as a ‘wild card’ option and it was the perfect dress!
