Trend Spotlight: Fall 2017 Bridal Fashion Week

Bridal Fashion Week has just come to an end, and we still can’t get over the gorgeous trends seen on the runway this season! From oh-so sexy high slights to choker-like intricate necklines, we round up our favorite looks from Fall 2017:

Minimalism

Sometimes simplicity can go a long way, and after seeing some dresses at Pronovias, Ines Di Santo and Prina Tornai, we couldn’t agree more! There’s something so refreshing and understatedly chic about designers focusing on clean lines and modern silhouettes rather than detail.

Masculine Elements

For those who want to wear something different from the traditional white dress, jumpsuits are a great option (yes, even for a wedding dress!) As seen on the runways of Theia and Lela Rose, a bride strutting down the catwalk (or perhaps a walk down the aisle) in an all-white jumpsuit is just so effortlessly cool and stylish.

Thigh’s the Limit

A high slit is the perfect modern touch on a traditional white dress. Whether you love the ultimate come-hither look as seen at Alon Livne White or you’d prefer something a little more demure like the gowns over at Pronovias, slits are a great way to show off your legs and when done right, can be a sophisticated way to look sexy on your big day.

High Collars

Whether designers are influenced by Victorian fashion or the ever-growing choker trend from the ‘90s, high collars were definitely a major trend this season. After seeing some gorgeous neck details at Mark Zunino, Dennis Basso, and Pronovias, we fell in love with this high collar trend too! Not only does a high collar add elegance and modesty to a dress, it’s also a great canvas to add embroidery, beading and such.

Cold Shoulder

Last season was all about off-shoulders, and this season that has evolved into the cold shoulder trend.  Both trends are very identical, with the main difference being that cold shoulder styles usually reveal just the tip of the shoulder and feature spaghetti or thick straps, as seen on the catwalks on Monique Lhuillier, Alon Livne White, and Theia.
