After 10 years distance relationship, (esp. that they were in the distance- relationship for 5 years), Mirjam & Josef finally had their “Harry Potter” themed wedding in Leiben, Austria on Sep 9, 2017. We are so honored to customize the dress of Mirjam’s dream for her big day and we are very proud of having her as our #cocomelodybride! Wish these two love birds a lifetime of happiness!

Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
Keep calm and enjoy. I really enjoyed to be engaged and plan the wedding. I spent so much time to plan all the details, but only until the wedding day. On the wedding day I was so relaxed and I enjoyed every moment, without worrying about a thing. Even when the worst case happened and our photographer called he couldn’t make it because he was injured I stayed calm – perhaps also because it’s my nature. We found a new one within an hour and some drama/bridezilla-moment wouldn’t help anyone. Just remember one thing: It’s all about your love and all the other things can be fixed.
Q: What about your love story?
10 years ago we met each other online at a text-based online mafia game. End of April 2007 we met in real life and fell in love immediately. At this time we lived 400km (around 250 miles) apart. He in Germany, I in Austria. After a 5 year of distance-relationship and my studies we moved together in Vienna, Austria my Hometown. He really surprised me with the proposal during a walk through the city. Six months before we decided not to talk about a wedding anymore because we were annoyed from all the questions, like “when will you finally marry??” from friends and family. During that time of not talking about it he was looking for the perfect ring.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
We both love fantasy, books and movies, but most of the time not the same ones. But the story of Harry Potter inspires us and we love the movies especially the style of the props and movie sets.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
Most of the time yes. I’m really good at organizing parties and stuff and the wedding was my best event. Afterwards I have to say it took me a lot of time. If both of you have a full-time job and you plan some special things on the wedding it’s hard work. You spend most of the time calculating, ask for quotations or try to reach a contractor. Now I would engage a wedding planner for the whole planning. We only had a wedding planner for the day who coordinated the contractors and prepared the room decoration as we wanted – which is something I would recommend to all wedding couples.
Q: What was your hubby’s reaction when he first saw you on your big day?
He was speechless.
Q: What did you love most about your custom #Cocomelody dress?
First of all, when I started to look for a wedding dress I was really frustrated. Most of the time I didn’t like the cut or the fabric. When I found a dress I liked, it was awfully expensive. Then my sister-in-law found the Cocomelody website where I instantly found 10 dresses I loved. The most I love is the design, it matches me perfectly and (after a long time of looking) I never dreamed of finding such a perfect dress. A lot of dresses at Cocomelody matches my taste, so my only dilemma was to pick just one.
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?
For me everything was perfect at Cocomelody. I found two dresses I really loved in the store and because I had the opportunity to made it custom-tailored I combined both. I took the dress where I loved the style and the cut of the neckline like the other dress. This way I put together the absolute perfect dress.
