Can you say breathtaking? We fell in love with Erin & Joseph’s wedding in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic as much as we love the gorgeous beach view! Erin was so glowing in this special day by the addition of open back dress! If you’ve ever wanted to have such a sweet beach wedding, Erin & Joseph’s big day is an amazing source of inspo.

Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?

Don’t let the wedding planning get you stressed out! Make the best of every moment of this so you can fully enjoy your day! We chose to do a destination wedding, and it was so relaxed and enjoyable – I suggest determining what’s right for you and your fiancé, and planning around that.

Q: Can you tell us your love story? Where and How did he propose?

We were on our first serious vacation to Puerto Plata with my family, and we had been dating for three years. My parents had gotten engaged in Puerto Plata – and he knew that it was a very special place to me. Our first day on the beach, he proposed – and before even leaving from our week long vacation we had decided we would have a destination wedding in Puerto Plata.

Time for that first kiss

Q: Did you have a particular theme or color scheme? Is there a story behind this color theme and why you chose it?

Our color scheme was purple. I have a disease called lupus – and work constantly to raise awareness for this disease. The color for lupus awareness is purple (which coincides with my both of our favorite color), so that’s why we selected this color scheme.

Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?

Yes! It was very low-key, low-stress. I think that planning a traditional wedding would have been a bit more difficult for me – but our wedding planner at the resort we were married at was so helpful!

Q: What was your hubby’s reaction when he first saw you on your big day?

He just had a huge smile on his face.

Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?

The most memorable part of the day was walking down the aisle, to our wedding song – and realizing that this was it. That I was marrying my best friend, in paradise – and that we would have a tradition of travel to Puerto Plata together to remember this day.

Share the happiness with friends and family

Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?

I loved the detail of the back of the Cocomelody dress! It was absolutely stunning and perfect for a beach wedding! I ordered a standard sized dress, and only needed simple, basic alterations.

Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?

Very responsive, quick, and helpful! I loved my wedding dress, and I’m so impressed I was able to find such an amazing quality (and affordable) dress online!

Your best day ever spent in the best
