Q: Any wedding advice for anyone getting married soon?
Big weddings are nice but there’s something so magical about an elopement ceremony. So romantic and intimate. It’s not about having all eyes on you but all eyes on each other.
Q: How did he propose?
Luis proposed to me after Sam Smiths’ concert 2 years ago. After the show, he blind folded me in the car about half way through, took me to lax airport where we had our first kiss. Same terminal place where he picked me up after a vacation. That’s where he proposed.
Q: What location did you pick to have your wedding and why did you choose this place?
Santorini is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I knew once we got engaged that I wanted to get married somewhere far away and romantic. Somewhere that wasn’t Cabo or Hawaii which seems to be the most common place for a destination for weddings.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
Yes. The whole process was so much easier than I thought. My wedding planners (IG @tietheknotsantorini) were so amazing and I never had to stress about a thing. I told her what I wanted and she brought my vision to life and even exceeded my expectations with the whole decor.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
The most memorable part of my day was photo shoot during our location. Our photographer and videographer took us to this amazing spot/cliff with the 360 degree view of the Mediterranean Sea. I stood there looking at Luis asking him repeatedly “is this really happening?!” It was so beautiful and I’m still in awe that we were standing there, just the two of us at that very moment. It was unforgettable!
Q: Describe how you felt when you found “The Dress.”
The night before I went to the store I saw it online. I screen shot the dress. I didn’t expect to see the dress at all when I walked in. But there it was, displayed at the front window. It was the first dress I grabbed, first one that I tried on out of 5 other dresses. I never imagined myself in a gown like this. I wanted a fitted sexy wedding gown and I ended up falling in love with the complete opposite. But all changed when I tried this dress on. It just gave me that “feeling”. The dress has a romantic vibe. It is perfect for a summer wedding in Santorini. I loved that it isn’t all white and it has a hint of color. The dress is so beautiful and it makes me feel so beautiful.
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody?
My experience with Cocomelody was great. I found a brand new sample dress that fits my body perfectly. The only alterations needed was the length. Service was amazing. The bridal showroom was sleek and stylish. I loved the place, from the floors to the furnitures. Just loved it!
