This was definitely the chicest Halloween wedding we have ever seen, especially when it looks as fabulous as Kayla’s custom black dress style #LD3906! Halloween has been Kayla’s favorite holiday since she was a child. we love golden October, horror movies, carving pumpkins, the weather, and basically everything about their fall nuptials in Wooster Barn in Topeka, Kansas. we thought a Halloween theme would be fun for everyone.

Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
If you start to feel overwhelmed, make a to-do list of things you want to accomplish the next day or week. As you start to cross them off one by one, you will see that you are making progress and feel less stressed. This helped me because it’s a lot less scary to see a list of five things rather than 25.
Q: What about your love story?
Nick and my brother Kyle were friends in high school and I had always known of him. We all went out for my brothers birthday about 4 years ago and that’s how we connected. Flash forward to Halloween night last year where he proposed to me. It was already my favorite day of the whole year so it was perfect.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your Halloween-themed wedding?
Halloween has been my favorite holiday since I was a child. I love October, horror movies, carving pumpkins, the weather, and basically everything about fall. I’m not a traditional person, so the thought of having a “normal” wedding seemed strange to me. I thought a Halloween theme would be fun for everyone.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
I enjoyed planning the wedding because I had so many ideas and details that I wanted to incorporate somehow. It was nice to be in control and use my creativity. However, it was also overwhelming at times because, in order to finish one task, 5 smaller tasks had to be done first. It’s so rewarding to see it all come together on the big day though.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
The first look with Nick and also my Dad was a couple of the best moments of the day. To see the emotion on their faces was priceless and something I’ll never forget.
Q: What did you love most about your custom Cocomelody dress in black?
I loved how well-made my dress was! It had many layers, was very durable, and very detailed! The beading was very intricate and the buttons down the back were very classy. Having it custom-made in black was perfect for my Halloween wedding and everyone loved it as much as me.
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?
Cocomelody contacted me right away about the customizations to my dress to make sure it was going to be exactly what I wanted. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It was a nice smooth process!
