Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
The best advice I can give is to try and relax and enjoy your hectic, stressful yet beautifully created wedding day. Our wedding was full of surprises that we didn’t plan, but somehow it all worked out and no one even noticed. We had a great time and being married to your best friend is just icing on the cake!
Q: How did you meet? And where did he propose?
My husband and I have been best friends since we were 9 and 10 years old. We tried dating when we were in our early 20s but it didn’t work out.We both married other people and grew distant. Then we communicated over Facebook 3 years ago and we were both divorced. We started talking and it was as if 13 years never passed without talking to each other! He proposed to me under the very same Spanish moss trees we were married under. It was beautiful and totally unexpected. He describes it as his childhood dream coming true.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
We wanted something that was outside and laid back to show our personality. We had a small intimate wedding with family and friends and even had our mothers do the catering.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
Yes I did. We planned for a little over a year. However, even with all that planning, there were still things that came up that changed at the last minute. One of which was the weather! It was forecasted just 3 weeks before our wedding day to be in the 70s. With an outdoor wedding and reception at a ranch, this was going to be just beautiful. Well, 1 week to go, we watched the temperature decrease everyday. It was HORRIFYING! So, the day of the wedding comes……….and it’s in the lower 40s during the day and around 35 degrees during our reception! Ugh, we’ll what could you do at that point? We added heating lamps and had a huge bonfire going to us and our guests warm. Despite weather, we all had a blast!
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
The most memorable moment for me was my 12 year old daughter crying when she saw me with everything on. She said to me: “Oh my God mommy! You look so beautiful!” I will never forget that moment.
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?
Oh my goodness, where do I begin?! My dress was literally the most beautiful wedding dress I have ever seen. To even have that feeling from a dress that you’ve ordered online, is an anomaly. I was skeptical ordering the dress online but I did extensive research on Cocomelody and I’m an avid reviews reader. I trusted my gut and I trusted Cocomelody and man, to say that I’m a happy customer is an understatement. As soon as I recieved it, I immediately took it to my seamstress to lace it up. Once she was done, I was speechless. The lace and especially the train is breathtaking. Like, I literally want to frame my wedding dress!!
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?
The ease of searching your website, putting pictures up of REAL brides and making these incredible gowns so affordable, was a no-brainer choice for me. My gown arrived within the estimated time that was given to me at checkout and was packaged with care. When I had questions about colors and sizing, the Cocomelody customer service team responded quickly.
