Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
Don’t worry about anything that is out of your control. We planned our wedding for December as it’s summer in Australia and we wanted the sun to be out. However there was flash flooding surrounding our venue leading up to the day. On the day there was still rain right up until a couple of hours before the ceremony, so me moved it from the grass to the balcony. We still had our view in the photos anyway and the overcast weather made for some beautiful photographs.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
Our wedding was quite simple, no suits and not a lot of flowers. It had a rustic/vintage feel and a ‘Southern’ theme was used for decor (as we love Jack Daniels!). Harley’s ring was even handmade from a barrel from the Jack Daniels distillery.
Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?
Harley proposed on my birthday in 2017 on the beach in Stradbroke Island, Queensland. I had no idea, I was expecting just a fun day out for my birthday. He even had the kids take our phones and made out they were getting a picture of us together, but they were actually capturing the moment for us! It was really nice.
Q: How would you define the message “Dare to Love”?
I would say this message applies to anything in life as well as to relationships. Love whoever and whatever you want; courageously, unapologetically and unconditionally.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
I can’t pinpoint just one moment! The whole day was so fun and amazing and it was so fantastic to see it all come together and have not just Harley and I, but everyone enjoying themselves.
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress (es)?
The style of my wedding dress (LD4009) is what caught my eye. It ticked all the boxes for what I wanted in a dress. The vintage feel and the detail on the lace were absolutely stunning. I had the dress altered ever so slightly and the seamstresses could not get over the quality of the dress.
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?
Cocomelody were fantastic. Always super quick to respond to emails, or on social media. I was kept in the loop the whole time the dress was being made, while it was being shipped to me, and even afterward. I would recommend them to anyone!
