Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
I just wanted a simple fall wedding.
Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?
Cam and I met in high school, but we didn’t connect until 6 years after we graduated! After dating for a couple of months, Cam told me he wanted to take me somewhere special to watch the sunset. After a million twists and turns and some off-road driving, he took me to this beautiful hideaway. There was the most perfect little pond with the most breathtaking view. We watched an egret catch fish and watched the sunset. At the end of the most perfect little night, he told me he loved me for the first time. That became “our place.” Fast forward into 8 months of dating, he took me back to our place like we had often done. We watched the pond as we reminisced about our first time there, and then he said, “Ya know, this is the place I told you I loved you, so I thought it was a fitting place for me to ask you to marry me.” By the time I had turned to face him he was on his knee with the ring.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
My personal favorite part was our vows. I always thought that was the most boring part of a wedding, but I guess it’s different when it’s your own.
Q: What did you love most about your Cocomelody dress?
The quality! And the champagne underlay added the most special unique touch.
