“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” That’s what Candace & Ginger proved! They held a beautiful rustic weding at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach and enjoyed fun time with family and friends during their reception at Michael’s Tuscany room. Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
Plan ahead if you can, set aside extra money when you can. Pinterest was my biggest helper with what is truly needed and not needed for the wedding to help keep cost low. we didn’t have a wedding planner. everything was my wife and I for planning.
Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did she propose?
She purposed at a family gathering in front my most important people in my life.
Q: How would you define the message “Dare to Love”?
Dare to love is dare to be different regardless who’s has opinion. My wife and I have overcome family and friends’ opinions.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
Love wins, being part of the LGBT community we have fought hard for marriage equality. we want everyone to have equal rights. we waited a long time for marriage. we have been together for 11 years and now being married and accepted has changed our world.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
I did enjoy most of the wedding planning but some things got rough. just communication and compromise.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
The best part about my day was when i hit the aisle and my now wife looked at me with tears of joy and that big smile on her face.
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?
I love everything about my wedding dress but the fact it was two dresses in one is what got me. we had originally planned for the same place for ceremony and reception which I was worried cause pictures before the wedding she would see my dress before and not have it be somewhat of a surprise.
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?
I loved going to Cocomelody for my dress it was great customer service . The time of pick up in all honesty, I don’t remember the girls name at the time but she was a tall blonde girl she was rude and not very helpful.
