Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
One thing I have learned is that this time comes and goes very fast so enjoy every moment even the stressful ones. Make the two of you happy with all of your decisions. Look forward to problems occurring (it’s part of the process).
Q: What about your love story?
We grew up together as teenagers. We went away to college. When we came home we ran into each other briefly and connected as friends again on social media. We dated for 6 years before being engaged and now happily married. Friends for over 20yrs and friends is what we plan to remain above all things.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
We found a new love for traveling and thought why not include the one thing we love on our big day. We wanted our day to last for more than a few hours. Everything about Jamaica is beautiful and reflects love.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
We loved every moment of our planning. The coordinators were very nice and worked very hard and fast and turned all our dreams into a reality. We have no regrets.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
The most memorable part of the day was walking down the aisle which was very scary for me but when I got to the end I looked up and saw my my husband and he was crying.
After over 20 years of friendship and 8 years of dating, I don’t think i ever saw him cry. And I looked to the left and my daughter who is 8 was crying so hard we had to take a brief pause and my husband who is her stepfather came over to her and they did their personal handshake and we were able to continue. It was amazing. We did not get many pictures from guest because they were all crying. LOL
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?
MY dress my dress my dress! What is usually the most stressful for the bride in wedding planning was the easiest thing I decided on. First of all, everybody loved it. I was online one day and the dress came across my screen. I instantly went to check it out. I was extremely nervous about ordering my wedding dress of all things online.
I picked a size and ordered it thinking at this price what’s the worse that could happen. The dress came I slipped it on and need no alterations. Who does that? No alterations at all!
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody?
The team at Cocomelody are amazing. They stayed in contact with me and answered all my questions. The dress came in a month and the only stress I had was waiting to really wear it and reveal how it looked because I can’t keep secrets!
