Irene & Nike tied the knot on their 10 year anniversary in the picturesque Brooklyn Bridge, their special day was simple yet tiny, everypart of the day was so fantastic, people took fabulous photos, popped a bottle of champagne and enjoyed tasty Pizza at Juliana’s. Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?

Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?
We met on the OG social platform of myspace 10 years ago. We dated, moved-in together, and had a son. He proposed to me on his birthday! November 5th, 2016. He got on one knee in front of the most important people of my entire life- my mom, our son, my sister, my grandmother, and great grandmother. Our son handed me a a bouquet of red roses. I was so confused about the roses because after all it was his birthday. He got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. We decided to tie the knot on our 10th year anniversary.
Q: How would you define the message ” Dare to Love”?
Love without limiting yourself or your partner. Dive in and give it your all.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
We live in Brooklyn and absolutely love the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s so darn beautiful. We wanted to do this as simple as possible. Plus we LOVE NY. We considered an elopement however it wasn’t fair to our families who deserved to be there. So we had a tiny wedding on the Brooklyn Bridge, took fabulous photos, popped a bottle of champagne, and had Pizza at Juliana’s.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
Loved the simplicity yet very detailed process of mine.
Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?
When he first saw me, he couldn’t stop smiling. Walking on the bridge, hand in hand after we had already said I do.
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?
The lace!!! It was such an elegant wedding dress yet so perfect for my kind of wedding. It fit my theme.
