Katelin & Jonathan tied the knot in Stillwater, Oklahoma where is surrounded with acres of natural beauty. This modern wedding featured neutral tones of blush to mauve and white marble accents. Deep navy tones and gold are also combined to bring a luxury feel to the elegant theme. We love everything about this chic wedding and of course Katelin’s amazing bridal look in that dream tulle gown!

Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
Your wedding is going to be everything you dreamt it to be, but remember that this is the beginning of your beautiful marriage. If something doesn’t go as planned on your big day, you’re still going to be married to the love of your life! Enjoy the day and all of it’s little surprises.
Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?
On May 1st, 2017, Jonathan proposed to me at the Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City. It was such a sweet and intimate moment for us and I could tell that Jonathan was nervous; He almost forgot my name! We both grew up in Stillwater, went to the same middle and high school, but didn’t actually get to know each other until one of my friends suggested that I go to Senior Prom with Jonathan. At first, I didn’t think that was a good idea at all, since he was a very shy, nerdy kid, and I was more of a social butterfly. But a mutual friend of ours mentioned to Jonathan that I was looking for a prom date so he asked me out for coffee at Aspen. Little did I know that we would really hit it off…and things quickly progressed between us every day since! We’ve traveled to 16 countries together and I hope that we continue to travel the world together.
Q: How would you define the message ” Dare to Love”?
Dare To Love really resonates with our story because had I not taken the chance to get to know Jonathan, we may never have ended up together. I think it’s a way of saying to follow your heart and not be afraid to take a chance on someone.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
Our venue on its own is incredibly gorgeous and is surrounded with acres of natural beauty. We wanted to capture that beauty and elevate it with lots of greenery and neutral tones of blush to mauve and white marble accents. We also tied it all together with deep navy tones and gold to bring a luxury feel to the theme.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
Absolutely! I’m an event planner and got my degree in hospitality, so being able to use everything I’ve learned on my own wedding was so fun! I think brides get so caught up in all of the logistics of the wedding, they forget to have fun with the planning process. Your big day is the perfect opportunity to show your creative side.
Q: What was your hubby’s reaction when he first saw you on your big day?
We did a first look before the ceremony. Jonathan was overwhelmed with emotions and caused me to tear up as well. It was a very sweet and intimate moment for us.
Q: What did you love most about your #Cocomelody dress?
The wedding dress was everything I had imagined my wedding dress to be. I knew that I wanted to catch the light and sparkle during our first dance while keeping the dress modest with sleeves and not a gaping V-neck. They took all of my requests and put together the perfect dress customized to my vision. My overall favorite part of the dress would have to be the long train and appliques all over the dress. It was so beautifully done.
Q: What do you think about Cocomelody and the customer service?
Customer service went above and beyond through the whole process. When taking measurements for them to make my dress, Cocomelody were very helpful in making sure that I measured correctly. I had a couple of last minute changes with my dress and they were more than willing to help me and make sure everything was flawless.
