Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?
Have the wedding that feels right for you and your partner, not what everyone else is doing if that isn’t what you want. Don’t be afraid to break tradition or be unconventional.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
We both have a special affinity to the ocean, so getting married on the beach was the perfect way to incorporate that.
Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?
We both went skydiving in his hometown on his Birthday. His initial plan was to propose after we reached the ground, but the experience left me feeling sick for a few hours. Later in the day he took me to a lookout that overlooks a beachside where his Grandparents used to run a shop and now have a memorial seat. During our time at the lookout he asked if I wanted to marry him and presented me with the ring we’d chosen out together a few months earlier.
Q: How would you define the message ” Dare to Love”?
Follow what your heart desires, irrespective of what the societal norms, family pressure or expectations are.
Q: Did you enjoy the wedding planning process? Why or why not?
We were grateful that elopements don’t come with too much to organise, but we still found the whole process a bit overwhelming and stressful at times, especially as everything that could have gone wrong did!
Q: What was your hubby’s reaction when he first saw you on your big day?
We eloped overseas without any guests, so he even had to help me get into my dress. Although I didn’t get to surprise him all dressed up it was even more special for me having him help me get ready.
Q: What did you love most about your #CocoMelody dress (es)?
I loved the colour of the dress most – it was a veiled rose which isn’t a conventional colour for a wedding dress.
Q: What do you think about CocoMelody and the customer service?
CocoMelody‘s Customer service was very friendly, helpful and was always available to answer questions. I changed a few things from my original order (added a bustle, some custom sleeves and changed the delivery address) and nothing was ever a problem. My only critique would be the custom sleeves were a lot different to what I had asked for and I wasn’t able to return them.
