Q: Any advice or tips for future Mrs.?

Planning your wedding can be super stressful, even when you have a coordinator. Just remember to enjoy the process!! The day of your wedding will come and the worst thing that could happen is you not enjoying it because of the stress. Trust me, everything happens so fast! Maybe not everything is going to come out exactly like you want but sometimes that needs to happen for things to come out even better.

Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?

The fall season represents change and maturity and for us starting a new life together was precisely about that. The vintage element was represented more at our love story photos. Jan is like an old soul, eventhough he’s younger than me, and that is exactly one of the qualities that attracted me to him. He liked the vintage idea and I was in on it because I wanted him to be a proactive groom and for us both to enjoy the process.

Q: Tell us your love story! Where & How did he propose?

We met at work. I had just moved from the north of the island to the south to start a new job working in a Museum. It was a great career opportunity so I took it without hesitation. I saw him a couple of times and I thought he was cute but didn’t have the courage to go talk to him. Then, one Friday I got out from work and decided to go to the gym to distract my mind for a while and I saw him there at the treadmill. I could not believe it! We were going to the same gym and niether of us had noticed.

Although it was a great opportunity to go up and talk to him and say “hi, don’t we work together?” I couldn’t. I got intimidated and full of insecurity. I decided to watch him from afar and saw him leave the gym that night without even trying to make small talk. The next week we bumped into each other at work and he asked me if It was me at the gym the other day. It turns out he had also noticed me and wanted to talk to me but didn’t know how. We had a nice chat that day and later started having lunch together almost every day until eventually he asked me out on a date. A couple of months later (5 to be exact) we were eating at a restaurant and talking about life and what we wanted to do in the future and suddenly he took out the ring and proposed. He said, “whatever it is that I still need to do, see or experience in my life I want it to be with you by my side”. The rest is history!!

The rest is history!! For us love is a decision, not a mere feeling.

Q: How would you define the message “Dare to Love”?

For us love is a decision, not a mere feeling. Committing your life to someone, specially in holy matrimony, is having the courage to give yourself entirely to that person and vice versa. Caring for each other and making sure each one lives to make the other one happy, specially through adversity. It is not easy but when both hearts are committed it becomes possible.

Q: What was the best/most memorable part of the day?

Definitely when I was walking down the aisle and saw my husband’s face. Everything just made since. All the stress, anxiety and nervousness when away.

Q: Where did you hear/find CocoMelody?

I was looking for a legit wedding dress online store and came across a blog that mentioned CocoMelody. I visited their website and never even try to look for more options. I was convinced I would find my dream dress with them.

Q: What did you love most about your #CocoMelody dress (es)?

Definitely the quality!!! It was so well made. Nobody believed that I had bought it online and at such an affordable price! Even my seamstress told me that making a wedding dress like that would cost me more than a thousand dolars! Also the back was my favorite part. It looked very delicate and fancy!

Q: What do you think about CocoMelody and the customer service?

I love CocoMelody! They have an amazing customer service. I remember being kind of stressed because the dress took a bit longer than expected to arrive (due to the high season) and I contacted their customer service and they were incredibly helpful. They even send me the dress through expedited shipping once in was ready.
